Taxation is not voluntary. That is the part people keep trying to dance around.

If I take your money and you refuse, what happens next determines whether it is theft. With taxation, refusal does not end the interaction. It escalates it. First come letters and fines. Then penalties. Then asset seizure. Then cages. Ultimately, if you resist far enough, men with guns show up. That is not rhetoric. That is the actual enforcement chain.

Calling that process legal does not change its nature. It only changes who is allowed to do it.

The state does not create money. It does not produce wealth. It does not generate resources. It redistributes what it takes, after skimming heavily for itself, and it does so by threatening violence against peaceful people who would otherwise opt out.

Consent matters. If participation is optional, it is cooperation. If participation is mandatory under threat, it is coercion. The moment exit is punished, the moral claim collapses.

People are conditioned to accept this because the coercion is outsourced and bureaucratized. Paper replaces confrontation. Forms replace demands. Uniforms replace masks. But the gun is still there, even if it is a few steps removed. Every law is a threat. Every tax code is an ultimatum.

The state survives not because it is moral, but because it is normalized. It trains people from childhood to believe that obedience is civic virtue and that resistance is deviance. Once that belief is internalized, the system no longer needs to justify itself. It simply enforces.

Freedom is not radical. It is the absence of imposed authority. It is the idea that no one has the right to take what you earned without your consent, no matter how official the paperwork looks.

If something would be called theft when done by a private individual, adding a seal, a badge, or a flag does not magically transform it into justice. It just makes it organized.

And organized coercion is still coercion.
