The modern statist cycle is painfully predictable.

All things lawfare related. Lawfare is the strategic use of legal systems, institutions, or proceedings to achieve military or political objectives, acting as a substitute for traditional warfare or a way to damage/delegitimize an opponent. It involves exploiting laws to harass, waste resources, or gain public relations victories. Common examples include strategic lawsuits against public participation (SLAPP) and accusations of war crimes.

The modern statist cycle is painfully predictable.

Create inflation through endless money printing, debt expansion, regulation, subsidies, and artificial market distortions. Punish productivity through taxation. Increase the cost of hiring through political mandates. Crush housing supply with zoning restrictions and bureaucracy. Debase the currency year after year.

Then when prices explode, pretend “greedy corporations” magically became greedy overnight.

Statism creates scarcity, inflates currencies, distorts incentives, restricts supply, and raises the cost structure of society at every level. Then the same people who demanded more political control stare at the results in confusion and demand even more control to “fix” the damage caused by the last intervention.

The state breaks the economy with coercion, then campaigns on saving you from the consequences of its own policies.

That is why statism continuously expands while living standards erode, purchasing power collapses, and ordinary people fall further behind despite working harder than ever
